About the College Attendance Calculator

Are you constantly wondering, "How many classes can I skip?" or "Will I fall short of my minimum attendance?"The OD2 College Attendance Calculator is a fast, precise, and privacy-friendly tool designed for students to effortlessly track and plan their academic attendance.

How it works: Simply enter the total number of classes held so far and the number you have actually attended. Set your target percentage using the slider or precise input box (most universities in India require between 75% and 80%). Our algorithm instantly computes your current percentage and reverse-engineers the math to give you an actionable plan.

If you're falling short, we tell you exactly how many upcoming consecutive classes you must attend to cross your target threshold. If you're safely above the line, we tell you exactly how many classes you can afford to confidently "bunk" without dropping below your minimum target.

Why 75% Attendance Matters in College

In many Indian universities (like Anna University, VTU, JNTU, Mumbai University, etc.), maintaining a minimum attendance percentage, usually 75%, is a strict eligibility criterion to appear for end-semester examinations.

Failing to meet this requirement can lead to being marked with a "Condonation" (requiring a fine and a medical certificate) or, in worse cases, being entirely debarred (detained) from writing your exams, forcing you to repeat the semester. Use our bunk calculator to ensure you never fall into the danger zone.

How to Calculate Attendance Percentage Manually

The mathematical formula to calculate your attendance percentage is quite straightforward:

(Classes Attended ÷ Total Classes) × 100 = Percentage

For example, if your college conducted 40 hours of lectures for a subject and you attended 32:
(32 ÷ 40) × 100 = 80%.
